For the first time since Church St. Station and the Cheyenne Saloon closed many years ago, the nostalgia and romance of regular horse & carriage rides on Friday and Saturday nights have returned to the downtown area. Patrons of the late night hot spots can now add to their dining and clubbing experiences with a 45 minute relaxing private romantic get away as the carriage winds its way along Osceola St, Rosalind Ave., Eola Dr., Central Ave, Church St., Orange Ave. and other nearby locations.
A Hitch ‘N Time Carriages has been doing privately contracted weddings in the downtown area for over 8 years and so many times their drivers have been approached by folks in the main restaurant district and asked, “When are the carriage rides going to be coming back?” or “Are you giving rides tonight?!” Now they are being greeted and welcomed by an overwhelming number of businesses and patrons alike with many positive comments.
