About Us

Few Harley dealerships in the country can boast the family legacy of Peterson's Harley-Davidson. Founded in 1954 by "Phil" Peterson in Key West Florida, Peterson's Harley-Davidson had humble beginnings. Just in from Wisconsin, Phil and his young wife Charlotte fell in love with "paradise" and bought the little shop at the end of the road.

Hard work, dedication, attention to details and a focus on customer service guaranteed Phil's success and the future success of Peterson's Harley-Davidson. The word soon spread that in the Southernmost town in the United States a person could buy a good motorcycle for a reasonable price, have it worked on by a qualified mechanic and be treated with courtesy and respect.

Over 50 years later the same attention to detail and customer satisfaction is still the number one priority at Peterson's Harley-Davidson of Miami. These days Phil is semi-retired, however sons, Dirk and Drew are constantly working hard to keep the same standards associated with the Peterson's family name. The Service Department has a Harley trained & certified staff of technicians & mechanics with over 150 years of combined experience. Our mechanics are available to work on complicated projects or simply tune your bike to perfection. With a huge Parts Department staffed by experts, customers get just what they were looking for. A new Secure On-line Ordering System and expanded MotorClothes® Apparel and Accessories Department will allow you to purchase anything from stylish jewelry to top quality leathers right from the comfort of your home... but you still have to stop in for the coffee and donuts!

Packages and Prices

Rental Requirements:

Valid motorcycle operator's license from the state or country of residence.
21 years of age or older.
$2,000 security deposit per motorcycle on a major credit card.
Possess the skills, knowledge, and ability to operate a heavyweight motorcycle.
Must wear a helmet that meets D.O.T. specifications.

What is Included:

Unlimited mileage on a current year model Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
24 hour emergency road side assistance.
Helmets that meet DOT. specifications for the passenger and rider.
Secure, ample luggage storage is available onsite.
Rain gear for rider and passenger. (Upon request)
Cable lock.
All motorcycles are serviced and maintained by factory Certified Technicians according to motor company standards, and are equipped with Harley-Davidson Screamin' Eagle stage 1 performance package.

Personal Accident/Personal Property Insurance
Supplemental Liability Insurance
Loss Damage Waiver

Advanced reservations are recommended. Passengers must be present at time of rental to sign a release of liability.

Please check with your personal insurance carrier before renting a motorcycle. This will provide information if you will be covered or to what extent you will be covered on a RENTAL motorcycle. Coverage is available at additional cost. We offer a Loss Damage Waiver, Personal Accident / Personal Property Insurance, and Supplemental Liability Insurance.

Late Fee of $50.00 per hour will be applied to all rentals returned late. All rentals must be picked up or returned at least 1 hour before the close of the store.

Reservations are not required but recommended. There is a $150.00 reservation deposit per motorcycle that will go towards the price of your rental. We have a 48 hour cancellation policy or you forfeit your deposit.
